Peak oil is expected to be reached in the next ten to forty years and by that time we should already have a plan with new ways that will be able to supply our unsophisticated with the energy it needs. There are many different alternatives to petroleum, about of them being the use of more fossil fuels like coal. I believe when coming up with a new energy policy in the next couple of decades, we need to pretend about long term effects of the new energy sources along with the economics side.
