I have chosen articles for my discussion paper that ar of personal interest to me. I chose an article on a communication study performed to measure its hard-hittingness on assertiveness and self-efficacy for nurses. I treasured to explore communication training with nurses with the theme that it may be a way to improve assertiveness for the novice nurse. I chose an article on Operating means nurses and the effects of physician-perpetrated abuse because I am presently assiduous in the operating room and I would like to be a nurse there when I graduate. Nurses need to be able to demonstrate assertiveness along with cooperation, accountability, confidence, autonomy and organizational skills. These assets are vital to be able to communicate effectively with a physician and advocate for the patient. Nurses horny maturity and self-confidence is a necessary component for effective communication. With respectful communication between the nurse and the physician the patient will have a higher quality of care. A lack of these attributes and self-efficacy impairs the communication between the physician and nurse.
