I would like to exaggerate on my previous postings and focus on the psychological foster behind the setting that Frost used for his poem The way Not Taken. First by reviewing my previous ideas and then expanding by looking into soulal interpretations of the mental images that are directly concomitant of Frosts wordings.

Two roads diverged in a yellowish wood. ( Frost 1) Its interesting to me that Frost chose this setting for his poem. By using this vaguely descriptive passage, Frost makes the reader automatically invest in the poem because almost every individual will conjure some mental image of this setting. It is a very powerful thing to make a person use their minds eye, whether they use their imagination to create something new or they bring to bear a memory, a personal and mayhap emotional (in the case of the used memory) connection is made.

Since its impossible to cognize exactly what Frost imagined when he saw a yellow wood in his imagination, its difficult to delve into the possible psychological meanings behind what he personally might have imagined. A possible interpretation and insight into Frost himself is the usage of ane of the few exacting descriptions of a yellow wood.



This is significative of autumn, which could be reflective of the autumn historic period of ones life sentence.
